Privacy
What fmbthali.com keeps when you visit, and what it counts.
Signing in
Signing in uses one cookie of the site's own, fmb_session, so the site knows it is you from page to page. It holds a random key and nothing else, and the sign-in it carries ends when you sign out or after a while without use.
Counting visits
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help, so we can make the site better. For each page you open, Google receives its title, its address and the address of the page that led you to it, each address without anything after a ?, along with your browser, device, screen size and language.
Google uses your IP address to estimate your city and country, and doesn't store it. Its cookies, whose names begin with _ga, tell one visit from the next.
When you are signed in
Your visits are counted under a code made from your thali's record with a secret key of ours. The code works one way only: Google can't turn it back into your thali, your name or your ITS number, so it learns how many members use the site, not who they are.
What we don't do
Google signals, the setting that links your visits across devices for advertising, is off, and nothing here is used for advertising. Mohalla staff working in the back office are not counted, so the numbers are members' and visitors' alone.
Turning it off
Google's opt-out add-on, or any content blocker, stops Google Analytics, and fmbthali.com works the same without it.
